Know Before You Go Mandatory Fees and Taxes • Travelers who have visited Hubei Province within the last 14 days, or who have passports issued in Hubei Province, are forbidden from entering Japan effective from Feb 1. • An accommodation tax is required in Tokyo from October 2002. Guests are required to pay JPY 100 per guest per night if the room rate per night exceeds JPY 10,000, and JPY 200 per guest per night if the room rate per night exceeds JPY 15,000.
