Perfectly situated in the Melbourne CBD near beautiful parks Afternoon is fabulous; served in the beautiful dining room, the food was expertly made and presented. Our room service in the evening was a little disappointing with items missing and an unappealing presentation. Lovely bedding- crisp and fresh. The towels were very thick and soft, the bathroom clean. Would prefer Australian bath products though - I think they were last time we stayed here. Traditionally decorated room as you would hope in a heritage hotel that gave a sense of the history. Very quiet and peaceful. Very clean in all public areas, and our room was perfectly clean. Pleased overall except for the very minor room service issue, which was resolved promptly. Staff in the dining room during afternoon tea were particularly lovely, beautiful service yet friendly, welcoming and helpful.
