All Colombian citizens, regardless of the length of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days, are required to pay a national sales tax (19%) on their accommodation during their stay. Foreign citizens with a tourist visa are exempt from paying this tax. If the person subject to tax and another person exempt from tax share the same room, the rate may be applied to the entire room. You'll be asked to pay the following charges at the property: • Residents must pay VAT (19%) at the property. Travelers on a tourist visa are generally not required to pay VAT. VAT exemption eligibility will be assessed at the property and travelers may need to present their passport and tourist visa. The VAT may be charged where the room is shared by a taxable and non-taxable guest. We have included all charges provided to us by the property. • Fee for full breakfast: approximately COP 10000–13000 for adults, and COP 10000–13000 for children • Hosted evening meal: COP 20000 The above list may not be comprehensive.
