The location is excellent for being based in a less busy neighbourhood and commercial zone with lots of services/amenities available nearby. There is a direct Metro Line (9) to the airport and Line 5 will connect you to the entire Metro network with ease. The nearby Metro station/bus stop is one block away and has elevator access. It is necessary to check in (and breakfast, which I recommend) at the primary Madanis hotel location that is around the corner and a short block beyond the Liceo "annex". Only had the full buffet breakfast (which recently increased from 11 to 12 Euros) but the breakfast room and the offerings were very good. All good for cleanliness. Good towels & the single room I used was well designed. Friendly and efficient reception staff. Should have been better signage at Liceo entrance that it was necessary to check in at the main Madanis location. However, there was a speaker system that connects quickly to the Madanis reception desk so no big problem. And, fortunately, a helpful maid-service lady arrived on the scene just as I did and she was very helpful.

There was a significant problem in an otherwise excellent hotel: The air conditioning in single room #214 did not function well even when set on maximum, making for a stuffy, warm room when trying to sleep. Opening the window only made it worse. The A/C issue (which I did not have time to mention when checking out) should be fixed. Hopefully it only affected this room, which was unique in its location on the floor plan.
