The UMusic Hotel, pronounced "you-music" as in English, is centrally located in one of the best tourist areas of Madrid, a short walk from the Plaza Mayor. Plenty of small shops, bars, cafeterias and a Metro station nearby. The restaurant conveniently located on the second floor provides five-star service and exceptionally good food that one does not find in other restaurants. Pricey, but good, very good. Spotless, a new, 2-month old, hotel and it shows it! Crisp, white bedding. All 5-star quality. Two young, knowledgeable, enthusiastic receptionists and one employee to help with the luggase and set up the thermomenter in the room. He should have pointed out that the room key is necessary to operates the elevator.

The one major defect, the one that will keep my wife and me from ever returning to this hotel, is the shower. It has a huge shower head in the high ceiling over a small shower cabin, so that when you turn on the water you get drenched in ice water with no way to avoid it. Once you realize the situation you can grap a "wand" sort of outlet mounted on the wall at belly-level and press the spring-loaded lever on it to redirect the water, but you still must play with the temperature control to avoid a frigid shower. The water then flows out of the shower stall under the door and creats a puddle that takes a bath towel to clean up the floor into the toilet room and leading toward the door and the sleeping area. Also, there is no bidé in any of the hotel rooms, one facility my wife and I consider very important, if not essential. Without a bidé, one may want to use the shower afterward, but this shower?

Realmente todo, trato del parte de personal es fantástico, la cama es muy cómoda, café y agua en habitación, el desayuno vale mucho la pena y la ubicación está perfecta para conocer o volver a ver Madrid.
