The hotel is located brilliantly right in the middle of Glasgow, right next to the central train station & a Wetherspoons. To say this hotel was rated 3 star - is shocking. I stayed in the newly upgraded part of this hotel & the room was just perfect. Lovely marble shower, big bed & the breakfast was ace 👍🏻

Breakfast - could have had more options etc fruit and lack of toast. No negatives for the room however

Have stayed at the Alexander Thomson Hoyel 3 or 4 times a year for many years now. We love it's central (but not too central) location. The comfort and cleanliness of the room and of course a proper cooked breakfast in the morning.

We got a bath this time, which we always ask for but never get, though had to screw the plug in and cover it to make sure it fitted. And the toilet seat was very mobile, so a few wee tweaks and all will be more or less perfect.

Great value for money. Hotel located 2 mins walk from central station making it very easy to get around the city. Rooms were large and very comfortable although a little dated. It was very clean and the staff I've seen were friendly. Lovely breakfast. All in all fantastic value for money.

Not disappointed but the place is a little dated decor wise but that's all I can say.

Location for public transport, sight seeing and shopping is perfect.

Slight smell of drains in the room but I imagine like most cities, the drainage system is very old so not a big deal (this is true of other hotels in the city).
