This is the worse hotel experience I have had. This place should be shut down as a fall hazard and a public health hazard. BE WARNED, FELLOW TRAVELERS. I left 11 days early and tried to get a refund but hotel refused given I bought a non-refundable stay.
Next to a subway, no air conditioning, with trains running until 2am and starting again at 6am. Garbage and filth in the "backyard" of the hotel with people from local pubs using the yard to urinate when pub closes.
1. The room is filthy everywhere: the bed frame, the drawers, the floor, the bathroom floor, the kettle which was filled with dirt and rust.
2. The light in the bedroom glows yellow making it impossible to read or see clearly at night.
3. The furniture and fixtures are old and in decay. The wallpaper is crumbling off the wall.
4. There is a nail poking out of the bed headboard.
5. There is no desk, nowhere to write, nowhere to sit, nowhere to put a computer.
6. The soap provided was not soap but some sort of body wash.
7. I was placed on the 4th floor which is not suitable for anyone. The staircase is narrow and steep and is a clear fall hazard.
8. The bathroom sinks barely had water coming out of it—slowly and very hard to wash hands appropriately.
9. The bathroom is so small it was hard to move around without bumping into the walls, the tile—almost impossible to move.
10. There is no air conditioning, and the room is stifling needing me to leave the window open and hear trains until 2am.
11. I read no warning or messaging about this hotel having no receptionist and having to navigate stairs. There is no way that this hotel would be OK for most people if they knew about the stair issue and the lack of seating and reception.
Filthy, dusty, crud and dirt in the kettle upon arrival. Drawers with crumbs. Dust on the furniture, light fixtures open and not working. Floors grimy and slippery.
This is not a hotel, and there was no service.
