Easy walk to Kings Cross/St. Pancras - AKA, at least I could escape this hellhole without issue.

This hostel is disgusting and an actual health risk. It's filled with mold, the toilets hadn't been cleaned in weeks (if not months) and had no paper, the sinks were clogged with hair and slime, they reeked, the showers were filled with slime and mold, the "secure" baggage drop was not secure and (surprise) filled with mold, couldn't open the door to my room because it was blocked with bags of garbage, fire doors opened inwards to tiny, unlit halls so if there was a fire everyone would get stuck, the bedding smelled, etc etc etc. Stayed there for about three hours, didn't sleep, checked out first thing and walked to Kings Cross in my pajamas to use the toilet and brush my teeth because the hostel facilities were so horrifying. Trying to figure out if there's a Health & Safety/Fire Inspection report I can fill out, because this place will actually kill someone.

The location was very convenient, the bed was reasonably comfortable, the price was very low

Cleanliness, many facilities not in working order, security. The showers smelled and were green, the sink in the women’s toilets was blocked and the tap didn’t work, everything generally seemed dirty, doors were left unlocked so the keycards seemed a bit pointless

The staff were friendly to a fault and very helpful.

The female-only showers (1st floor) didn't work at all, the (unisex) toilets and showers in the basement were a long trek especially late at night and not particularly clean, in dire need of renovation. Rules (such as no food in the rooms) were obviously being routinely ignored. There were at least two people in the six-bed dorm I was allotted who were practically camping out there, with washing and food supplies and giant suitcases. Not at all what I had expected.

Это был мой первый опыт остановки в хостеле. Не самый худший, на мой взгляд, хотя мне не с чем сравнить. Удобно, что на кроватях есть шторки, действительно помогает сохранить хоть какую-то приватность. Также на каждой кровати есть ночник и розетка, не нужно искать, где бы подзарядить телефон (но помните, что в Англии розетки другие, необходимо покупать переходник). Расположение на 5, все рядом (супермаркет, открытыйдо 23:00, магазин косметики Boots, на случай, если вы, как и я, забыли все в самолете), отличная транспортная развязка.

В комнатах довольно грязно, но эту грязь создают именно люди, которые наваливают вещи на полу, не убирают за собой упаковки от еды и т. д. Также было довольно прохладно, я спала на самой нижней полке, что практически на уровне пола, а окна закрывались весьма не плотно. Завтрак весьма посредственный (чай, кофе, какао, апельсиновый сок, молоко, тосты, джем, хлопья), но в целях экономии вполне приемлемо .

Расположение

Хостел расположен в центре всего - рукой подать до вокзалов Кингз Кросс, Ст. Панкрас и Юстон, станции метро (здесь пересекаются 6 линий, так что практически до любой достопримечательности можно доехать без пересадок). Также в пределах пешей доступности Риджентс Парк и район Камден.
