Bryant Park is beautiful and interesting day and night. Blue Bottle Coffee next door to hotel: bonus. Great food close by. Library has a very interesting exhibit of famous books and related items, perfect if you're short on time or don't want to endure massive crowds. Room was great. Bed comfortable, slept like a rock, good sized bathroom. Only complaint was the hot water takes ages to come on...it's cold for 10 minutes. Such a waste of water. It was clean everywhere, room and public spaces. Service was generally very good and staff were friendly. Unfortunately at the time I checked into my room, the privacy light was on. I didn't realize what it was, until my room wasn't cleaned on my second day. The front desk helped me resolve and after that room service was excellent. It was a bit annoying that the front desk didn't believe me when I told them the light was on when I first went into the room. "Oh no, that couldn't possibly happen, we wouldn't have sold the room". Well you did sell the room. To me. With the privacy light on. Other than that I didn't really need anything but the staff were always friendly and the doorman helped me get a cab when i checked out, which I appreciated.
