First appearance outside is good and breakfast was good

The room was terrible, totally old fashioned, badly needed upgrading. The beds were very uncomfortable and the bathroom was not that clean. Grouting disgusting in the bath/shower. On booking I phoned the hotel direct and told them I wanted one of the refurbished rooms but they said no! I also told them I would be leaving a bad review as others had done before me,but they obviously don’t care enough to sort this out. These rooms should not be getting used until fully upgraded not worth the money paid, and I think we would have been better in the travel lodge or premier inn!
