Very close to Male international airport which is practical ,especially after long flights ,boat transfer takes only 5-10 minutes. Kurumba is small, spotless , well maintained resort, with spacious , nicely decorated rooms ( we stayed in beach cottage ). Resort has its own coral reef with quite a number of different types of fish. You can meet reef sharks and scats .Be aware of little trigger fish , which becomes aggressive if approached and can even slightly bite.

Close location,while practical, has its negative impact. Water , especially in the afternoon is not cristal clean , with quite a lot of plastic garbage floating , close views of Male industrial port facilities and new residential buildings ,is not what you expect to enjoy at sunset in Maldives. Service was at appropriate level in general but still sometimes slow and inattentive( room cleaning). Food in main restaurant was mostly tasty but i expected having more choices. Among a la carte restaurants I would recommend small Japanese one- fresh and well prepared sea food.

Best hotel ever!!! 10 minutes speedboat ride from the airport The food was absolutely incredible, especially Thila- Breakfast were absolutely sublime and the dinners were all worth a Michelin star The bed was huge and so comfortable. The attention to detail in the rooms was amazing, especially the cleaner who looked after it, everything was always restocked and he went above and beyond. Sorry I pressed the wrong button this was meant to be 10 stars, there were always people cleaning around the hotel, the beach, fixing things. Everything was superbly maintained and pristine All the staff were amazing and friendly, they could not do enough to help. Rukshana Kids club was really lovely as well the waiters at Thila, And the reception staff sorted out several issues which were not related to the hotel and were super efficient.

Not sure why this came up as 9.3 as everything was 10 out of 10. Hotel was so luxurious and by far the upper end of the five star compared to another one that we stayed on the island. We were devastated to leave and would go back in a heartbeat.

Комары, после укусов заболели

Добрый день! Отдыхали в начале апреля 2021 года. Отель расположен в 6 мин на катере от аэропорта. С одной стороны очень удобно, с другой готовьтесь слушать самолеты 24/7 от маленьких до боингов. Уборка территории отличная! Но вот номеров не очень, полы совсем не моют, мебель старая уже. И раньше уборка была 2 раза в день, теперь всего один. Питание скудное, шампанского утром нет, выбор однообразен, совсем не соответстует 5 звездам. Рядом расположен остров по сжиганию мусора, горит постоянно, ветер в основном в сторону Курумбы, запах отвратительный. Было много комаров везде, в ресторане и в комнате и даже на пляже кусали. Море отличное, купаться можно везде, кораллв под ногами нет! Риф есть небольшой, для первого раза может понравится. По телевизору смотреть нечего, только ртр планета с круглосуточными сериалами.
